This was filmed over four grueling hours with the worst equipment imaginable in the Area Coordinator's office at Moore Hall. The audio is terrible due to equipment problems and there being a horrible rainstorm outside. The concept is based upon the old film noir movies. It's a take off of the scene where the beautiful girl who is nothing but trouble comes in and tries to seduce the detective. It fails this time because he is a homosexual but not in the flaming sense. He only takes the case because he is sexually attracted to her brother. It stars Chris Cook (in what he considers to be his most challenging role as a gay detective), Erin Huck, and Preston Shull as his flaming secretary. The shoot was bad because of the bad equipment and because I just am not good at directing actors. Erin was complaining a lot and Chris wasn't always clear on what I wanted. My only major complaint about the shoot is I screwed up on some of the lighting. Eventually I intend to write a full feature length script for this concept. Interesting Facts: Preston was the one responsible for the Antonio Banderas line. When Chris looks at the photo and said "he makes Mr. December look like the fireman's dog" he is actually looking at a picture of my dog. The Daiquiri is actually just a slushy with kool-aid mix in it. I drank it after the shoot.
