Reviews*People like us, they really, really, really like us!*As long as I can remember, I've always loved comedy albums. I went from sneaking listens of my dad's Richard Pryor records in the 70s, and then later getting stoned listening to Cheech and Chong after school, to buying lots of Sam Kinison and "Dice", tapes among many others. This is my first chance to review a comedy album, and I'm pretty excited. This is skit comedy, not stand up. Think Firesign Theater, sort of. I like to call it comedy from the dark side. A note in the liner notes describes ADT as "a compilation of metal attitude, blasphemy and perverted immaturity..." That's perfect! Tracks like "10-10-666" and "New God With The Fresh Lemon Scent" are among my favorites, if that's even possible. It's all good, as they say in hip hop. Dating games with super villians, Zod (of course), Bonkers The Clown, Cunnilingus Man, plenty of great public service announcements (via the Rev. Psycho Matthias and others) AND The Rev's deep thoughts, among many other hilarious skits, including my favorite, "Fucked Up Fairy Tales".
